Renunciations: Stepping into Freedom

Welcome to this next step in your deliverance training! You’ve already laid the foundation, and now it’s time to move into the powerful process of renunciations. This step is vital in breaking ties with past sins, ungodly agreements, and spiritual strongholds, allowing you to fully align with God’s authority and experience deeper freedom in Christ.

Renunciations are not the end of your journey but a bridge to greater spiritual growth and empowerment. As you step into this portion of the training, prepare your heart and mind to fully engage, knowing that this process will pave the way for the next sessions. These upcoming sessions will take you deeper into understanding discipleship, walking in authority, and living out your freedom as a child of God.

Whether this step feels challenging or exciting, remember you are not alone. God is with you, strengthening you as you boldly declare His truth and break every chain that has held you back. Let’s move forward in faith and power!

Why Renunciations Matter

Renunciations are an act of confession and repentance, a vital step in breaking free from the spiritual ties of the past. By verbally acknowledging past sins, agreements, or ties, you bring them into the light and submit them to God’s authority. In spiritual warfare, the spoken word carries immense power. Just as God spoke the world into existence (Genesis 1) and Jesus used spoken commands to cast out demons (Mark 5:8), you must use your voice to declare and break demonic agreements. This process is not just about severing ties but stepping into the abundant life and healing God has for you (John 10:10). As you step into this process, trust that God’s power is at work in you, guiding you toward greater freedom and victory in all areas.

An Invitation

If you are reading this and have not yet accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, or if you feel the need to reconcile your relationship with Him, now is the perfect moment. Deliverance begins with surrendering your life to Jesus, the One who brings freedom, healing, and salvation.

Pray this prayer from your heart:
"Heavenly Father, I come before You, acknowledging that I am a sinner in need of Your grace. I believe You sent Your Son Jesus Christ to die on the cross for my sins and rose again in three days, conquering death. I accept Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. Forgive me, cleanse me, and make me new. I surrender my life to You and invite Your Holy Spirit to fill me and guide me. From this moment on, I belong to You. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen."

If you prayed this prayer, you are now part of God’s family! This deliverance training will help you grow in your walk with Him.

Before: How to Prepare

  1. Fast if You Are Able
Fasting can deepen your spiritual focus and prepare your heart for the process.

  2. Gather Resources

    • A Bible for reference and encouragement.

    • A list of the areas you feel led to renounce (prepared during deliverance training).

    • Notebook for reflections or any further instructions from your deliverance session.

  3. Create a Quiet Space
Find a place where you can speak freely and without interruption. Ensure your environment is calm and free from distractions.

  4. Align Your Heart
Approach this step with humility, faith, and readiness to release everything that does not align with God’s will.

  5. Seek God in Prayer
Spend time with the Lord, asking for His guidance, protection, and revelation. Invite the Holy Spirit to reveal areas in your life that require repentance or renunciation.

During: What to Do

  1. Renounce Out Loud
Renouncing out loud is an act of confession, repentance, and spiritual warfare. By speaking, you bring hidden things into the light and declare God’s authority over your life.

    • Example: "I renounce [specific sin/agreement/tie] in the name of Jesus and break its power over my life."

  2. Speak Scripture
Use the Word of God as your sword (Ephesians 6:17). Proclaim verses that declare freedom, forgiveness, and victory in Christ.

    • Examples:

      • "Who the Son sets free, is free indeed" (John 8:36).

      • "No weapon formed against me shall prosper" (Isaiah 54:17).

  3. Expect a Battle but Stay in Peace
You may feel resistance, such as distraction, discomfort, or discouragement. This is normal in spiritual warfare. Stand firm in the authority of Jesus, knowing you are victorious in Him.

Let’s begin…

Prayer of Authority

In the mighty name of Jesus, I take authority over the spiritual atmosphere. I come against every demonic spirit that is in resistance and rebellion to the gospel of Jesus Christ and deliverance ministry. I command them to be bound and rendered powerless. Any spirit trying to resist, withstand, distract, ridicule, cast doubt, or hinder our freedom in Christ must obey the authority of the name of Jesus and leave immediately. Heavenly father, release your warrior angels into this room immediately. I call upon these angels in the name of Jesus to fight for us and help me expel all demonic oppression from our life. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Forgiveness

  1. Heavenly Father, I come before You in humility, confessing and repenting of my sins and disobedience. I ask for Your forgiveness for all my sins—those I have knowingly committed and those I have committed unknowingly. Forgive me for my mistakes, shortcomings, and for the times I failed to act when I knew the right thing to do. Cleanse my heart and make me whole again, Lord, that I may walk in alignment with Your will and reflect Your love and righteousness in all I do.

  2. I forgive myself completely and in this moment I receive and accept your forgiveness.

  3. By God’s grace, I also forgive and release any person who has ever hurt me, disappointed me, abused me, abandoned me, molested me, raped me, mistreated me, embarrassed me, neglected me, or rejected me.

  2. Heavenly Father, I confess these ungodly ties as sin and ask that you forgive me and cleanse me of all unrighteousness.

  3. Lord, I do not want them to have control over me and I don’t want to have control over them.

  4. In the power and authority of Jesus Christ, I break the ungodly soul tie between me and those I named.

  5. In the power and authority of Jesus Christ, I rebuke any demonic assignments of persecution, mind control, domination, obsession, abuse, narcissism, trafficking, domestic violence, or familiar spirits.

  9. I put the Cross of Jesus Christ between me and each person I named.

  10. Lord, I ask you to heal my heart of the effects this soul tie has had on my heart, mind, body, spirit, and life.

  11. Restore my soul and my union completely with you.

  12. Make me whole and restore everything that the enemy stole from me.

  13. Free me to love you with my whole heart and love others with a Christ-like love.

  7. In the power and authority of Jesus Christ, I break off, rebuke, bind, renounce, cancel and destroy every curse over me and my family. I declare that it is inoperable and its power has been destroyed.

  8. In the power and authority of Jesus Christ, I command all curses to be broken and all demons attached to the curses to leave me now.

  9. I plead the blood of Jesus over me and my family, and I declare that every curse in my life is broken.

  10. I come out of agreement with every curse, spell, hex, vex, demonic spirit, and demonic assignment in Jesus name. I surrender to the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Holy Spirit, I invite you to fill me up with your holy fire and burn anything that is not of your Kingdom.
